X Games day 1
The ride from Breckenridge to Aspen…Thanks Bishop!
Got to the Oakley mansion just outside the village last night and got some sleep. The house is insanely, sickeningly, obscenely big and I am going to do my best at showing you in a coming update. In the meantime, here are some moments from today’s slopestyle practice. I guess it goes without saying that the X Games course builders once again managed to squeeze in 7 features where there should be about 4. The jumps are so close together and so poorly built I feel like I’m back in a skier X course circa 1999.

Dear X Games slopestyle course builders;
Professional skiing athletes do not enjoy hitting flat icy stepdown jumps with about 0.5 seconds of skiing between them, nor do they think your idea of a tv production friendly “video game inspired” course is legitimate for the most prestigious competition in the sport. After 13 years of mistakes and rider complaints one would assume you had this figured out by now.

hey jacob! that channel gap looks so sketch pk said in his blog there have been 2 nasty slams already! it sucks that x-games course is so shitty after seeing what they put out at Mt. Snow for a sick Dew tour! too bad! Good luck bro. peace

Är ju verkligen helt sjukt att de ignorerar all feedback år efter år.. Till nästa år lär det vara en helikopter i channeln, och cheese-graters bredvid vartenda rail. Glöm money-booter, banan kommer avslutas med en loop istället, den är “extreme” och tar lite plats. Hur har de lyckats (läs misslyckats) med big-air hoppet i år?

Big Air hoppet är sista hoppet o slopestylebanan, dvs en 20 m platt take off stepdown…idiotiskt. jag ska inte köra slope, kanske kör big air och gör zerospins. hur låter den idén?

Dom har taggat dig som en av åkarna på slopestyle övningen i någon fransk film som ligger på freeride.se Trodde att du kanske blivit bra.
Men det verkar inte värt att göra skadan värre om det är sån pajjas-tillställning som alla verkar tycka..

You took the words out of my mouth on that last one! I’m not in the xgames but still… huge icy flatdowns with sketchy and short inrun? A man without fears would be frightened to hit that ..

jag var 1st alternate för slope, och idag bestämde sig någon för att droppa ut, så jag är officiellt med i slopestylen men efter att ha testat banan idag tror jag ärligt talat att jag avstår. inte värt att riskera hela säsongen för en tävling.
